Live Off The Land/Off Grid Generations Challenge

This will be a shorter, 3 generations only, challenge. At the end of this
post I will give tips, ideas, etc for if you want to continue further
generations.
Basic Rules
● No Cheats Allowed, NONE!!!!!
● NO MODS that give an advantage over other players.
● NO career’s Allowed for ANY generation!
● NOTHING that uses electricity or REAL plumbing is allowed.
● Can only purchase items from the “off grid” Build/Buy.
Eventually you will make what you need inside your home.
● Must choose the off grid and simple living challenge in lot traits
● May NOT sell anything directly from inventory OR ANY public
Lots. Can only sell from the sales table and on your home lot.
● Choose the largest lot in the world of your choice, there will be
more than one home on the lot for a gen or 2. LOL. So make it
50×50 or bigger.
● Aging is your choice, Normal is Normal Mode, Long is Easy
Mode, Short would be extra Hard Mode (I doubt this could be
done on short fyi)
● Minimum of 2 children for EACH generation is required, more
than that is optional!
● Children other than the heir are allowed to move off the lot as
an adult if they wish to do so. All heirs must stay on the lot until
they pass away.
● Must start with a Young Adult Sim, gender is your choice.
● When building any of the homes for any gen, remember you are
off grid! Therefore the Hut/Cabin must look handmade. By this I
mean, wood, brick, no “real” roofing, only the roofing that
resembles handmade roofing.

Generation 1: This Sim begins the Legacy and pick’s the lot all 3
generations will live on.
Aspirations to complete: 1st-The Curator, 2nd-Angling Ace, 3rd-Freelance
Botanist.
Trait Options: Active, Creative, Maker, Loves Outdoors, Family Oriented,
any of these will help you along.
Must Marry while still a young adult and prior to having babies.
Must be 100% Loyal and stay Happily Married to the same sim until death.
Must Master the Gardening, Fishing and Flower Arranging Skills.
Must Reach Level 5 of the Parenting Skill.
May Purchase the cheap tent ($420) and the sale table ($300). After that
please cheat money to 0 and then no more cheats!
Goal: Finish all 3 Aspirations, Max your 3 skills, parenting level 5 complete,
and build a cabin/hut for yourself and babies.
The initial cabin/hut can only have 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and an OPEN
living room/kitchen area.
Purchase some solar panels because Gen 2 will need them.
You can begin working with Gen 2 as soon as all the above is complete.

Generation 2: Aspirations to complete: Soulmate, Master Maker and
Freelance Botanist.
Traits: Choose them wisely.
Skills to Master: Handiness, Gardening and Fabrication.
Prefer both children belong to the soulmate, but it is up to you, also up to
you whether you marry before or after babies or never.
Finish Aspirations and Skills.
Build a better cabin/hut, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room
and Maker Room.
Build a fishing pond and stock it.
Build a GreenHouse so your family no longer has to deal with only in
season food/flowers.
At this point your lot should have: 2 huts/cabins, a beautiful big garden, a
greenhouse and a fishing pond.

Generation 3: Aspirations to Complete: Big Happy Family and Super
Parent
Traits: Family Oriented and the rest choose wisely.
Skills to Master: Handiness and Parenting.
Combine the homes on the lot to create a final 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom,
kitchen, living room, dining room MINIMUM.
Home must still be cabin/hut style, natural looking, nothing fancy inside or
out!
Once the final Home that can house all 3 gens is complete and gen 3’s
aspirations and skills are complete it is done you have successfully
completed the entire challenge.

Ideas for continuing this through more generations:
Have them find REAL electricity I suppose.
Create an entire off grid world in the world you are in.
